This December, we will be hosting our first ever adaptive camp in the winter! Campers will learn the basic fundamentals of tennis, engage in peer interaction with Doubles Partners, and have a blast!!
Date: 12/21 - 12/23
Time: 1:00-2:30 PM
Location: The Anaheim Tennis Center
Serving Advantage also hosts monthly, one hour clinics, where students learn the basic groundstrokes of tennis, participate in hand-eye coordination drills, and talk with their doubles partner! Contact us to learn about our upcoming clinics!
Each camper is partnered up with one of our peer buddy doubles partners and will stay with them for the whole week. Volunteers will attend two training sessions prior to the camp to ensure that they are prepared for their role as a peer buddy. Our volunteers will essentially learn how to connect with someone who has DIFFERENT STRUGGLES, learn how to teach someone WHO LEARNS DIFFERENTLY, and learn how to be empathetic and understanding towards the special needs community.
"Gaining knowledge is the first step to wisdom, sharing it is the first step to humanity"
